Bramshaw Golf Club

What events/competitions can we offer the junior golfer - at whatever age or ability?

Throughout the year we run a minimum of 35 competitions for our more experienced junior golfers with CONGU handicaps. In addition we have a shortcourse programme (blue tee/red tee) of competitions (minimum of 20 per annum) for our younger, less experienced junior members with handicaps up to 54. We have a transition plan to enable our very young 'Academy' golfers to progress to 'on-course' play with as little as 3 holes  played from our short-course 'blue' tees, through 9 hole competitions for the slightly older, to the large events such as the Manor Masters (Junior Open) - and everything in between. Our aim is to keep the young golfers busy with coaching, skills training and competitions to maintain motivation and enthusiasm. It is not feasible to provide details of all competitions in full but a  summary list of the more major competitions will be available by clicking here soon.

We have a tremendous support from the Adult membership for the Junior Section and we do our best to fully integrate the junior members into the Club by organising competitions where the young golfers play with and against the more senior golfers in the Club. We have introduced the very popular Junior & Lady Challenge, Junior & Senior Challenge, plus Juniors versus the Men match and also the annual match against the staff (green-keepers, management, catering staff etc).

We continue to strive to be one of the most 'family-friendly' golf clubs in the South of England!!
