Bramshaw Golf Club

At the Bramshaw Academy we are committed to junior coaching using the Junior Golf Passport programme. Our PGA professional, Emma, holds coaching sessions on Saturday's for all levels and ages of juniors who wish to learn to play golf. Emma ensures that junior golfers are in small groups that match an individual's age and ability - and each young golfer can record their own progress using the Passport document.

The coaching programme ensures that every aspect of the game is covered from swing, short game through to on-course R&A Rules and etiquette, all in a safe, fun and friendly environment. We also hold on-course fun days to enable children to take their new found skills on the course.  Each session is run for an hour (45 minutes for the really young ones!) and consists of basic tuition, followed by individual help and rounded off with some games to put in to practice the new skills. To ensure that each participant receives quality time and tuition from our coaches the participant/coach ratio will not exceed 6:1.

All equipment is supplied and each session  costs just £4 per Junior Member or £5 per non-Member.

Our Academy is now in its 3rd year and continues to develop promising youngsters who have taken their newly acquired skills out on to the golf course. Our youngest golfers are 4 years old and already showing promise!

As part of the Academy programme the young boys and girls are encouraged to venture out on to the course under the supervision of Emma, once they have reached the required standard in the Academy sessions. The young golfers play three or four 'short-course' holes on the Manor Course and parents are actively encouraged to come along and support their children.

We also hold free taster sessions throughout the year and visit local schools to deliver coaching programmes using Tri-Golf equipment (for children at Primary & Junior Schools) and Golf Extreme equipment (for children at Secondary schools). Our record of delivery for schools has resulted in Bramshaw being acknowledged as a Grass Roots Centre - the recognition for golf clubs that provide quality service to schoolchildren
