Bramshaw Golf Club : two excellent and starkly contrasting 18-hole courses

The original course, the Forest, is the oldest in Hampshire. It was built privately on New Forest heathland in about 1865 and became our course when the Club was formed in 1880. The ever-changing scenery of humps, hollows and meandering streams test golfing skills and judgement within an idyllic New Forest setting. Its open aspects and rolling heathland are in complete contrast to the Manor Course.
The roaming ponies and deer add to the charm of the Forest Course, and many prefer to play it for its beauty and old-fashioned test of golfing skills. The prospect of a deer emerging from the trees or a mare and her foal on the fairway gives the Forest Course a special and unique appeal.

The Manor Course was opened in 1970. Set amidst the beautiful New Forest in landscaped parkland of mature trees and 200 year old hardwood plantations, it is undoubtedly amongst the finest and most picturesque courses in the South of England. The Manor Course is gently undulating, with excellent fairways and greens, and is a stern test for any golfer. Good shot selection is essential!
